Very interesting. Last month I visit the Dali museum in Figueres, Spain. I, too, was impressed with his range. I wasn’t that familiar with his work and didn’t realize how many genres he worked with. I found the sheer volume of material in the museum overwhelming. The museum in Figueres also has Gala Contemplating Lincoln. It’s not a reproduction. Apparently Dali painted it twice.

I’m not normally a museum person, but Dali’s works are just SO out there it’s hard not to be fascinated by them!

Amazing! I have been only to Salvador Dali’s museum in Figueres, Spain. It was a wonderful experience. I wouldn’t mind visiting this one, too.

I had no idea this museum existed! Now that I know, I definitely want to see it. The photos are gorgeous, and it seems so cool (and appropriate) that the museum itself is a surreal structure. I also love the idea of the wishing tree, did you make a wish while you were there? Did it come true? :)

I got to see a Dali exhibit at the Hirshhorn in Washington DC several years ago and found his works to be absolutely fascinating. Would love to visit this museum – the building alone looks incredible!

Love this post and pics! Dali was a genius and the museum is gorgeous. We had lunch–gazpacho and other tastes of Spain–at the museum’s Gala Cafe. St. Petersburg offers wonderful experiences for art lovers!
