In reply to <a href="https://www.theconstantrambler.com/contact/#comment-253767">Mike</a>.

Mike,
We went in October/November. It will be difficult to book hotels without reservations in some of these places because you are going in high season. We didn't have a problem with last minute bookings but we went in shoulder season. Some of the smaller towns don't have many hotels and they book fast. Here is our favorite list of things to pack: http://www.theconstantrambler.com/trip-planning-packing-list-road-trip/ Hope this helps a bit. Safe Travels!

We are planning the same trip from Vancouver to Tok, but not leaving till June 29th. We will be traveling on a motorcycle from Tulsa. We plan on going to California then up highway 1. Coming back from Tok, Ak. We will go through Billings Montana, Yellowstone and back to Tulsa. About 10,000 round trip. What do you recommend as far as what we might need to pack. Will we be able to get rooms without reservations as we aren't sure when and where we will be on any given day. What time of the year did you go, as I saw snow in the pics. ?

Nice!!! I'm heading back up to Alaska in 3 weeks after a 15 year hiatus. I usually traveled the ALCAN back and forth between the lower 48 when I lived in Palmer AK. Just curious if you noticed or found any hot springs along the Cassiar? One of my favorite things to do was to stop at Liard Hot Springs on the way up the ALCAN.
Thanks for the beta!!!
