When it comes to places to visit throughout the world, America tops the list for many people. However whilst most people just have a dream to visit America, they haven’t actually thought specifically about where they want to visit. America is a massive space with so many different things to see and do. When planning my America holiday, I have a few key destinations to choose from. Which should I visit?
New York City
When it comes to places to visit in America, New York City is the top of the list for many people. Known as the ‘city that never sleeps’ there is always something going on, which is perhaps why it is such a popular tourist destination. While you’re there you can visit any of the number tourist attractions (the Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building and Times Square), see a show on Broadway, do a bit of shopping, or simply eat some good American food in one of their many eateries. The choices is yours.
Perhaps a bit more glamorous than New York City, you could also choose to visit Los Angeles. Home to Hollywood, it is full of glitz, glamour, and many film stars. While you’re here you could visit the beach (Malibu and Santa Monica are good choices), tour Beverly Hills, and even do a bit of shopping of Rodeo Drive. There is something for everyone in this West Coast paradise.
If you want to visit a part of America that has a bit more history and culture then go for Washington, DC. There are miles of museums for you to visit that cover a wide range of topics from art to natural history. Make sure to spend some time at the Smithsonian museums, most of which are free entry. There are also different historical buildings and monuments for you to see, which makes it a holiday that is both fun and educational.
You can’t possibly mention America holidays without considering Las Vegas. Many people find that a few days in Las Vegas is enough, but there much more to do than just gamble. With shows to see, great restaurants to try, and even the chance to get married by an Elvis impersonator, Las Vegas is a holiday destination well worth considering.
Of course, America has much more to offer than just these great cities. There are great rural and westerns attractions as well. So if you’re looking for something in particular then get researching, you’re bound to find an American holiday destination that suits.
